New Brand – Ubere Mama

Ubere Mama’s website only went live today!  The Ubere Mama website aims to bring together well sourced, well-tailored, and sensationally comfortable breastfeeding clothes at prices that are affordable.

Sarah-Jane had found the lack of choice in clothing was frustrating and disappointing and so decided to do it herself!  “I’m a passionate advocate of breastfeeding, first and foremost, but am equally passionate about fashion and design.  Ubere Mama brings both these passions together in one place”

Sarah-Jane worked in fashion before having her son, she knows the industry but also now knows about being a mum too!  After a dreadful time trying for a baby, after 7 years they were finally blessed with their son.   “After being career driven for 18 years-it was instant pure love at first sight. On returning home from hospital I just kept looking at him- not believing the overwhelming feelings of love and knowing through and through that my life has totally changed and will never be the same! The work that I had lived for so long was in an instant wiped out and life as a new mum kicked in”

Since 2012 Sarah-Jane has been a full time mum.  Once all her NCT friends returned to work-she felt she needed a project and the work she was doing did not make it possible to be the mum she so wanted to be.  So she set up Ubere Mama in 2014.   The brand was previously due to launch in 2015, however issues with the folding of her UK manufacturer led to a difficult time and so Sarah-Jane focused all her energies on her family and son.  SJ had always been based in the demanding manufacturing side of the fashion industry, setting up her own brand allows her to use this expertise whilst also being able to spend more time on family life.  However with her son now at school, the time is now for Ubere Mama!

The brand was indeed only launched this morning over Coco Pops with her husband and son.

Extremely important to SJ is that her clothes are manufactured in the UK, wanting to contribute in returning growth to the UK Fashion and Textile Industry,  and are of the highest quality.  From the start she knew that she had to source all the fabrics locally and have her manufacturing base in the UK providing clothing in sizes 8-22.

“I want our community of breastfeeding mothers to have only the best – and keeping things local is my way of guaranteeing just that.”

Ubere Mama not only sells breastfeeding clothing but also other breastfeeding essentials with the aim to expand as she gains all your valuable feedback!

So hot off the press have a look at the Brand New Ubere Mama for the “Uber(e) chic in us all!”
