From small apples, mighty oak trees…..
Nursing jewellery is not only for accessorising your favourite breastfeeding outfit but also for teething and the twiddling fingers of breastfeeding little ones. So what makes Petit Pommier jewellery different?
Lucile has always been eco friendly and creative, from growing up as a girl in France, to working for a leading organic supermarket to now raising her own family in Ireland.
Lucile is passionate about ensuring that her materials are ethical and European sourced. The beads and cotton cords are from sustainable sources and/or organically grown. The crocheted wooden beads are hand crocheted in France by a very talented lady- such is the attention to knowing the provenance of her materials. In particular she likes to use Juniper beads that also offer therapeutic benefits, a great aroma and anti-bacterial properties. Each bead is also slightly different due to the beautiful nature of wood which makes each necklace individual.
The materials have been tested and comply with the European toy and safety standards DIN EN 71-3 for non toxicity. It is safe for babies to fiddle, play with, chew on the necklace while this necklace is being worn by the adult.
The wires/cords have either a food grade silicon safety clasp, or wooden safety beads for safety.
This necklace and bracelet features one of the hand crocheted beads which is very popular with my little one! The natural material of the juniper does make the beads lovely to handle, and they smell great, different to silicone beads. Necklaces are available with the natural wood coloured beads, bright coloured beads, different shaped beads and hand crocheted beads are available too. I like this colour combination as it goes with so many different outfit colours! The cord is silver and has a break away clasp that simply pulls apart if the necklace is pulled.
The matching bracelet features the same juniper and coloured beads with a neat little overlap and sliding knot which is a simple but great way to fasten the bracelet. It is lovely to have a matching bracelet that really adds to the feminine feel of the teething jewellery.
